About the Event

National Museums Scotland recently published self-guided online training resources for partner museums, including an Introduction to Integrated Pest Management: https://www.nms.ac.uk/about-us/services-and-expertise/training-and-guidance-for-museums/collections-care-training/integrated-pest-management/

Every museum should be aware of the threat of pests to museum collections. It is possible to minimise the risk of damage to objects by responsible action from all museum staff. Our online resources are aimed to help you identify and monitor pests and prevent and deal with infestations.

This informal webinar will support your learning in conjunction with the web content, by providing an opportunity to ask questions relating to your own collections.

You will be able to ask questions in the webinar, but if you have any questions in advance, please feel free to get in touch ahead of time or include them in the Eventbrite sign up form. This will allow us to prepare any material that may help answer your query.

The event will be delivered by

  • Katie Haworth, Preventive Conservator
  • Joe Jackson, Assistant Preventive Conservator

This event will be hosted via Zoom, with an invite sent to you after signing up.

Please note, this event is aimed at those working or volunteering in Scottish museums.
