About the Event

The future of our workforce, Modern Apprenticeships and best practice.

Hear from the Scottish Crannog Centre Apprentices as they discuss their vision for a fair, inclusive and accessible museum. You will also hear from the apprentices, their workplace assessors and the organisation about their experience of vocational learning.

Apprenticeships are flexible, tailored training opportunities to meet the needs of modern business, including museums. They help attract fresh talent and develop the workforce of the future, as well as offering opportunities to upskill existing staff. Widely recognised as best practice in a number of sectors, apprenticeships help museums retain talent and reduce recruitment costs.

Find out more from Skills Development Scotland about how you can get involved in delivering or taking part in apprenticeships to benefit your organisation and yourself.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentations to anyone involved in the Scottish Crannog Centre Apprenticeship programme and to Skills Development Scotland.
