About the Event

Museums Galleries Scotland has partnered with Keep Scotland Beautiful to deliver an accredited course, Becoming Carbon Literate.

COP26 in Glasgow has shown that young people are becoming more aware of and involved in tackling the climate emergency. Those working with young people have a key role in helping them to understand and navigate the challenges that come with it.

Museums Galleries Scotland has partnered with Keep Scotland Beautiful to deliver an accredited course, Becoming Carbon Literate. This course is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and successful participants will receive a Carbon Literacy certificate. Becoming Carbon Literate gives lots of opportunities to enhance youth work practice, to engage young people, build their skills and confidence and amplify their voices in different ways. You can read more about the Carbon Literacy Project here: https://carbonliteracy.com/

"Museums hold a unique platform in engaging with young people on climate change. As places of learning and trusted sources of information with strong community links, this training will give your organisation the skills to work with young people as they seek to take action on climate change.”
