John is Senior Skills Development Manager at Museums Galleries Scotland and has over 15 years of strategic training and development experience.” He supports heritage organisations leading on MGS’s strategic workforce development programmes and projects that aim to build the capacity and confidence of individuals and organisations to be able to perform their roles competently. He is a qualified workplace assessor who is passionate at engaging with new organisations wishing to explore opportunities around apprentices and vocational learning.

In his home life he is an avid football fan and is a regular at his local football team, Bonnyrigg Rose, or supporting his sons football team. He loves exploring the beautiful countryside Scotland has to offer and can be found rain, wind or shine out and about with his two cocker spaniels.
