Marketing and Communications Manager

Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is the National Development Body for the Scottish museums sector.  We are looking for an experienced professional to join the Marketing and Communications team, working collaboratively across the organisation to develop marketing plans, processes and actions that contribute to raising the profile of MGS’s and the sector’s work.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of key marketing and communications functions within a busy marketing department.  You will have responsibility for developing and managing marketing and communications plans and publications, delivering digital and PR content, and proactively sharing marketing best practice across the organisation and with the sector. The ability to multi task and demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative constitutes a natural part of the job.

With substantial marketing and communications experience within a busy team, you will have a proven track record of developing, managing, implementing and evaluating campaigns across multiple communications channels. Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as strong project management skills, attention to detail, a collaborative approach and an ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally.
