Grants Officer

Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is the National Development Body for the Scottish museums sector. We support more than 400 museums and galleries, through strategic investment, advice, advocacy and skills development. 

We are looking for a passionate advocate of museums to assist our Grants Team as we continue to support Scotland’s museums to address challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic through our funding programme. Grants administration, assessment and advice is one of the core functions of the organisation.  

You will have a good knowledge of grants administration and applying funding criteria, with experience delivering excellent customer service. You will have significant experience working with databases and take a proactive approach to maintaining and developing processes. Strong communication skills and collaborative working are an essential part of the role, and knowledge of the museum, heritage and cultural sector in Scotland would be advantageous.
